Lessons from a Job Season (cont.)

Lord willing, I will get back to more regular posting soon, with more observations from God’s creation and the “manifold witness” that testifies to His power and goodness. But I wanted to let you all know that I have been given the humbling opportunity to write down an expanded version of my recent reflections on the “Lessons from a Job Season” that the Lord showed my family and I during some intense trials over the past couple of years.

He is with you. He remembers you. He is in absolute control of your situation, and He will uphold you through it. He will use your trial for His good purposes and for His glory. Share on X

Founders Press has graciously published these lessons in a short book that is now available for order. As I say in the book:

If you are currently enduring a time of deep affliction, my humble hope is that the Lord would use some of the lessons from this book to help you keep your eyes fixed on Him during these hard days. He is with you. He remembers you. He is in absolute control of your situation, and He will uphold you through it. He will use your trial for His good purposes and for His glory.

If you are in a season of peace and everything seems to be going well, by God’s grace, then you could store these lessons away so that you will be able to bring them to mind when more difficult times inevitably come. Build a solid foundation in your mind and heart of who God is, what He has done, and what He has promised. Read and memorize Scripture that speaks to the sovereignty and goodness of the Lord, and spend time studying the Word with other believers.

If you know someone who is going through a Job season, and you probably do, I hope that these lessons can provide some comfort and encouragement that you might be able to pass on. Ministering to people who are suffering is not easy, especially if you have not experienced their particular trials, but you can remind them of God’s goodness and faithfulness, you can serve them as part of the body of Christ, and you can pray for them.

You can visit Founders Press if you have any interest in learning more about this project. To God be the glory.
